All Things Good

Watching a James Bond movie is very interesting. The main character can get trapped, kidnapped, thrown into the sea, blown up in a room, or even poisoned. But he either finds some interesting way out; allows himself to be taken to a place where he beats the master and everyone and gets what he wants; swims miraculously to the shore, or is rescued by a speedboat or helicopter; walks majestically out of the blown up facility, or miraculously escapes the poison! He never dies!
Joseph in the Bible had some similarities to James Bond. He was going to be killed, but escaped narrowly. He got sold, but became the boss in Potiphar’s household. God’s plans for his life were going to suffer a setback by the adulterous desires of Potiphar’s wife, but he again escaped! The cloak he left when escaping, together with falsehood from Potiphar’s wife landed him in prison. But again, he escaped prison when he interpreted dreams for Pharaoh. Whatever happened to Joseph never destroyed him!
That is what happens when God is with you.
READ Romans 8:28-30
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” (Romans 8:30)
Paul in this letter to the Romans said,
“And we know (definite and confident statement)… that all things work together (good and bad, conspire and collaborate) … for good (happy ending) …to those who love God (not just anyone)… to those who are the called (the saved and redeemed)…according to His purpose.”
God always finds a way to make things — even apparently hopeless situations — work in favor of those who love Him.
Are you a God lover?
