Worse Than Covid-19 ! (Help & Helplines)
Due to its generally unregulated nature, and high availability, alcohol abuse and addiction is very widespread. September 2018 statistics from the World Health Organization shows that more people were dying annually from the harmful use of alcohol, than Covid-19 has killed so far!
- Worldwide, 3 million deaths every year result from harmful use of alcohol, this represent 5.3 % of all deaths.
- The harmful use of alcohol is a causal factor in more than 200 disease and injury conditions.
- Overall 5.1 % of the global burden of disease and injury is attributable to alcohol, as measured in disability-adjusted life years (DALYs).
- Alcohol consumption causes death and disability relatively early in life. In the age group 20–39 years approximately 13.5 % of the total deaths are alcohol-attributable.
- There is a causal relationship between harmful use of alcohol and a range of mental and behavioural disorders, other noncommunicable conditions as well as injuries.
- The latest causal relationships have been established between harmful drinking and incidence of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis as well as the course of HIV/AIDS.
- Beyond health consequences, the harmful use of alcohol brings significant social and economic losses to individuals and society at large.
Alcohol abuse and related deaths is so rampant that alcohol is often listed separately from other drugs! To put things in perspective, Covid-19 has killed 2.3 million people so far, but 3 million people die every year from harmful use of alcohol! There is more hope for alcoholics that there is for Covid-19 patients! We don’t need a race against time to develop any vaccine for harmful users of alcohol and other drugs! We simply need to get into a program and be helped to come out. Yes, we can get out!

URGENT CALL
Every soul is valuable to God, far more than the entire world! But by nature, we are all sinful, and alienated from God, and we ultimately face his wrath!
God in His mercy and love made a way for us to remedy this. He gives us a chance to reverse this downward spiral to destruction, join His family, be part of His household, and become His children.
The first step to becoming a member of God’s household is for us to be saved.
Salvation comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior.
It is a very personal decision. No one can make that decision for you.
If you make that decision today, there will be great singing and rejoicing in heaven; because one new member has joined the family and household of God! A soul, much, much more valuable than the world, has been saved from destruction!
Do you want to make that decision today?
Please visit “The Believer’s Prayer” for guidance if you want to make that decision.
We will be happy to hear from you through the contact information on that page, or the ones at the top of this page. Don’t delay. Make this very personal decision today!
