What A Privilege
Views: 66
I have always looked with keen interest at how people swarm Pastors with their life issues; and always wondered who Pastors go to with their own life issues.
As I read over and pondered yesterday’s devotional this dawn, I also began to wonder where those who say they don’t believe in God turn to, when they are in serious trouble. Then I realized what a privilege I have, as a child of God, and broke out in the song that says:
“What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.“
It is not everyone that has a God, and a Jesus he runs to when he is in trouble. It is not everyone that has that personal relationship with God to the extent that when he is hard-pressed, he can run to Him for refuge. For some, they are the god and at the same time man; and everything stops with them! So when they have problems, they have nowhere to run to!
But I am privileged to have a big brother, and a friend in Jesus; and a Father in God. It is comforting to know that Pastors have God too. He is the source of the steel strength the committed ones manifest, even in the midst of adversity and need; even in pandemics like the one we have on our hands currently! As a firstborn among my siblings, I appreciate what it is to have a big brother.
Jesus is my big brother, and friend. In Romans 8:29, Paul wrote,
And in John 15:15 Jesus said
God is my Father; and Jesus is my big brother and friend. What a privilege!
They both got my back!

URGENT CALL
Every soul is valuable to God, far more than the entire world! But by nature, we are all sinful, and alienated from God, and we ultimately face his wrath!
God in His mercy and love made a way for us to remedy this. He gives us a chance to reverse this downward spiral to destruction, join His family, be part of His household, and become His children.
The first step to becoming a member of God’s household is for us to be saved.
Salvation comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior.
It is a very personal decision. No one can make that decision for you.
If you make that decision today, there will be great singing and rejoicing in heaven; because one new member has joined the family and household of God! A soul, much, much more valuable than the world, has been saved from destruction!
Do you want to make that decision today?
Please visit “The Believer’s Prayer”
for guidance if you want
