Illumination
Views: 82
About 4 years ago, a family member had a situation that I quickly brushed aside as one of the usual attention seeking behaviours.
Having been newly married, we used to talk quite a bit; and I used to believe all the stories about difficulties with in-laws, animosity from co-tenants in the new home, and eavesdropping devices planted around her dwellings.
It took a psychiatrist friend to convince me that all the stories were delusions and hallucinations.
Putting everything that happened around the time together recently, it became clear that there was a crisis situation that led to a mental and emotional breakdown.
It took a topic in Crisis Theory and Practice for me to get the complete picture, and understand what was really happening. Illumination is always helpful.
In the intro in John’s Gospel, we were told,
Jesus brings the ultimate illumination into the world; the illumination of God and His perfect purpose for mankind. But the world could not recognize Him.
But to all who recognized Him, believed in Him and accepted Him, He gave the power to become children of God.
In addition, through the Holy Spirit, He also illuminates the minds of God’s children about God’s plans for mankind (John 14:16, John 16:13).
The world seems to be in a turmoil, and people are looking for answers.
The ultimate answer is in Christ. Paul wrote to the Philippians,
He understood God’s purpose through Christ, and that gave him confidence, and a lot of peace.

URGENT CALL
Every soul is valuable to God, far more than the entire world! But by nature, we are all sinful, and alienated from God, and we ultimately face his wrath!
God in His mercy and love made a way for us to remedy this. He gives us a chance to reverse this downward spiral to destruction, join His family, be part of His household, and become His children.
The first step to becoming a member of God’s household is for us to be saved.
Salvation comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior.
It is a very personal decision. No one can make that decision for you.
If you make that decision today, there will be great singing and rejoicing in heaven; because one new member has joined the family and household of God! A soul, much, much more valuable than the world, has been saved from destruction!
Do you want to make that decision today?
Please visit “The Believer’s Prayer” for guidance if you want to make that decision.
We will be happy to hear from you through the contact information on that page, or the ones at the top of this page. Don’t delay. Make this very personal decision today!
God richly bless you
