Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to God for me. Do this because of your love for me, given to you by the Holy Spirit. Pray that I will be rescued from those in Judea who refuse to obey God. Pray also that the believers there will be willing to accept the donation. I am taking to Jerusalem. Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.
(Romans 15: 30-32)

And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.
(2 Corinthians 1:11)

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.   I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
(Ephesians 6:18-20 )

For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
(Philippians 1:18)

Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.
(Colossians 4:3-4 )

Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.
(1 Thessalonians 5:25)

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.   Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer.
(2 Thessalonians 3: 1-2 )

One more thing—please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon.
(Philemon 1:22)

Even though the author of the book of Hebrews is still not clear, if it comes out that Paul wrote it, then he asked for prayers there too. In Hebrews 13:18-19, we read:

Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do. And especially pray that I will be able to come back to you soon.
(Hebrews 13:18-19)

If there is one thing that we could point to as significant in Apostle Paul’s ministry, then it is the fact that he never ceased to ask for prayers from the people he ministered to. He needed the prayers, depended on them and thrived in them. There might have been times in his tumultuous journeys that his faith might have been shaken; and the prayers of the saints bore him up.

I wonder how Paul’s ministry would have been like, otherwise.

We need to continuously pray for our Pastors, even if they don’t ask for it.

MEMORY VERSE

Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.
(1 Thessalonians 5:25)

URGENT CALL

Every soul is valuable to God, far more than the entire world! But by nature, we are all sinful, and alienated from God, and we ultimately face his wrath!

God in His mercy and love made a way for us to remedy this. He gives us a chance to reverse this downward spiral to destruction, join His family, be part of His household, and become His children.

The first step to becoming a member of God’s household is for us to be saved.

Salvation comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior.

It is a very personal decision. No one can make that decision for you.

If you make that decision today, there will be great singing and rejoicing in heaven; because one new member has joined the family and household of God! A soul, much, much more valuable than the world, has been saved from destruction!
