It has been one month since I mentioned that one huge fan of Testimony Devotional, Retired Chief State Attorney ELLEN C. KWAWUKUME, had gone to be with the Lord; in the devotional entitled, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Mama, as we call her, will be put to rest tomorrow.

I am feeling really down as a prepare for her funeral and interment tomorrow. We had such a cordial, mother-son, relationship. We would discuss building construction, then we discuss gardening, then we would sprinkle some politics on it. Then we would discuss Testimony Devotional. I am yet to pick an avocado tree that she had nursed, and given to me.

Mama, since you left, no one has sent me a message when the devotional delayed, saying:

“We did not have breakfast today.”

Mama, we’ve had a lot of conversations, but I want to recall some of our interactions that comfort me. On June 19 2020, when I posted the devotional entitled, Heart Chains with a poster saying, “My Chains fell off; My heart is free,” you replied,

"Good morning!
The chains of fear have fallen off indeed!
Have a blessed day."

And in August when I  said, “I believe you are doing great,” you replied,

"Yes, God is good.
He is keeping me."

Mama, God is indeed keeping you.

I recall the last two times I met you. I was there to pray with you and to give you comfort, but you turned it all on me! You rather comforted me with your words. Your strength and faith, and the boldness with which you faced everything has left a lasting impression on me.

Mama, you didn’t slip away like most people do. You actually said your good bye to all of us, and walked majestically into glory. What brings fear and apprehension to many, you faced with confidence, and treated like an ordinary trip.

We will miss you Mama, but we are comforted by what Jesus said to Martha when Lazarus had died:

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;  and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
(John 11:25)

Mama, you continue to live because you believed! We are comforted that you live, because one day, we will meet again.

Until then, Mama, Fare Thee Well.

MEMORY VERSE

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
(John 11:25

QUESTIONS

  •      Does death scare you?
  •      Do you know that Jesus says, we will live even though we die, because we believe?

PRAYER TIP

Father, if there is anything I need;
It is a huge dose of faith and belief
in You and Your Son Jesus Christ.
Nothing else matters.

URGENT CALL

Every soul is valuable to God, far more than the entire world! But by nature, we are all sinful, and alienated from God, and we ultimately face his wrath!

God in His mercy and love made a way for us to remedy this. He gives us a chance to reverse this downward spiral to destruction, join His family, be part of His household, and become His children.

The first step to becoming a member of God’s household is for us to be saved.

Salvation comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior.

It is a very personal decision. No one can make that decision for you.

If you make that decision today, there will be great singing and rejoicing in heaven; because one new member has joined the family and household of God! A soul, much, much more valuable than the world, has been saved from destruction!

Do you want to make that decision today?

Please visit “The Believer’s Prayer”
for guidance if you want
to make that decision.

We will be happy to hear from you through the contact information on that page, or the ones at the top of this page. Don’t delay. Make this very personal decision today!

God richly bless you
