Because…They Are Blessed

I listened to a very sincere and refreshing interview of an immunology expert recently. In that interview, I actually heard a health expert admit publicly that some players in big-pharma have been less than sincere in the past with vaccines, leading to the current apprehension and suspicion. But she concluded that vaccines are very vital life savers.
In her definition of vaccines, she said they were simply biological agents administered to trigger our natural immune defenses against the specific ailment for which the vaccine has been made. In other words, vaccines do not prevent diseases. They simply invoke our natural defenses, our immune system, in readiness to fight the specific diseases.
God’s blessings are the vaccines we need for evil “words”, or curses.
In an account in Numbers 22, the Israelites, on their way to the promised land, had camped by the Jordan. Balak, the king of Moab, had seen how powerful Israel was and was afraid. He therefore summoned Balaam the priest to come and curse them. He believed that the curse would make him defeat the Israelites. But God said to Balaam,
“You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed.”
(Numbers 22:12 NIV)
The reason God gave for telling Balaam not to curse the Israelites was that, “they are blessed.” No words, however evil, can affect you when you are blessed. Blessings, act like vaccines to make you immune to curses.If there is anything we need daily, it is the blessing of the Lord.
May we walk so closely with God, and may He be so pleased with us that, when someone says anything evil against us, God will tell the person,
“You cannot curse him, because he is blessed.”
or
“You cannot curse her, because she is blessed.”
